A walk up Pen-y-Ghent, one of the 'Three Peaks' of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The outing was done in a day from Lancaster by train, walking between Giggleswick and Settle stations to connect with a train for Horton-in-Ribblesdale, our start point. Conditions were bad for mid May, with continous rain falling as wet snow on the summit ridge.
